Our goal, with the DRILL Accelerator Program for women, is to support the growth of existing women business owners and help scale their businesses. Each participating woman is supported with tremendous resources and support to grow and become viable. We want women entrepreneurs to execute their businesses; not only write a plan. Our program is designed to introduce concepts to an intense curated curriculum for women entrepreneurs, led by top notch certified trainers. They are also introduced to digital transformation for their ventures to scale up. At the end of the 7-day intense training, they are connected to local experienced volunteer mentors for 3-months. The Women Entrepreneurs will then go through a selection process of pitching their businesses to possible funders at the end of the three-month program. Furthermore, we galvanize women entrepreneurs to use technology to disrupt and innovate their normal way of doing business and to further the gender equality agenda of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in relation to Agenda 2063 – The Africa We Want. As a creative space dedicated to fostering awareness and change, our organization has consistently provided a platform for women to engage with and understand the intricate issues surrounding gender prejudice and Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We acknowledge the undeniable reality that women encounter discrimination and GBV across all institutions and sectors. By offering these women critical information about their rights, we empower them to not only recognize but also assert their entitlements. This knowledge becomes a potent catalyst for their self-confidence and agency. It equips them with the tools to challenge injustice, amplifies their voices, and encourages active participation in efforts to dismantle the systemic barriers that perpetuate GBV.
