The purpose of this event was to officially launch the ME2@FGM Project, a project in collaboration with UNICEF and UNFPA centering video interviews with brave survivors of FGM sharing their personal experiences and insights, serving as powerful tools to educate the public about the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of FGM, while highlighting survivors’ resilience and strength.

Its key objectives include creating widespread awareness about the harmful effects of FGM, advocating for stronger policies to eradicate it, and providing a safe platform for survivors to unite against this practice.
